Dr. Carolina Tropini is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the University of British Columbia. The Tropini lab uses a combination of cutting-edge experimental and computational methods to study the connection between the gut microbiota, gut microenvironment, and disease. The goal is to translate these findings into clinical applications, improving disease prediction, drug effectiveness, and therapies for conditions affecting millions worldwide.
